Jack from HongKong
Jack visited my home on June 21. He was a home stay guest at my home and stayed for 5 weeks to July 27. Although it was the first time for my family to host a guest, we had very valuable experiences with him, especially, my two daughters.I can say that it was worth doing.
My two daughters really liked him and also he liked to play with them too.
They played some Korean traditional games together such as a game of yut, jackstones, and cat's-cradle.
Sometimes, they studied together. And My daughters taught him Korean and gave a Korean dictation as if they were a Korean teacher.
One day, My coworkers and I met Jack and Jack's Swedish friend who is his classmate. We drank a beer and tlaked a lot about foreign culture at the Bierhalle at Daehakro
They posed making humorous pose and gesture.
My family and my sister's family rode some bikes with him at the Olympic park. We went around the whole park and ate some food.
Jack and I sat down an the wood chair and talked something about the culture between Hongkong and Korea.
My daughter, Jung and Jack enjoyed wearing the Japanese traditional cloth that I received from Japanese friend at Sapporo a few weeks ago.
On the first dog day, we ate samgye-tang that is chicken broth with ginseng.
We invited Jack's friend, PM (we call him " 오후 " in Korean name) to my house before him leaving and had a dinner.
This is the picture that was taken in my sofa just before him leaving on July 27.
After he left, we missed a lot him and sent emails. Also, he replyed and made a phone call. He was a vlaued guest.
We will keep in touch each other wherever he go. He is going to teach Chinese and learn Spanish in Colombia for a year, and then apply for his job.
I believe he will be success in his life because he knows how to live and make a friend.
Today, My two daughters learn English to speak to him.
