ITEM JRC (International Technical Exhibition of Medical Imaging, Japan Radiology Congress) 2009

" Viewing More is Doing Better " is a catch phase of JRC 2009 which was held April 17 to 19, 2009 at Pacifico Yokohama. President of Korean Radiological Technologists Association, Cho and I went there and had some meeting in Tokyo. It was almost same as last year. The number and space of booths were decreased a little as I felt. Also I could see larger spaced cafeteria than last year. It might be due to world economic recession. By the way, Big major medical companies represented their economic power as occupied more than half of the exhibition hall. Main trends at ITEM JRC 2009 seemed MRI, CT, Contrast media, and 3D workstation. The medium sized and small companies were getting smaller while big companies were getting bigger.

Meeting with JART

We visited to discuss some agenda between KRTA and JART. IABSRT (International Accreditation Board for Special Radiological Technologist), Aisa Support Fund, and EACRT (East Asia Conference of Radiological Technologist) and so on were discussed at JART office on 31st floor at World Trade Center, Tokyo where has a beautiful scenery in downtwon. I loved watching the view of Tokyo downtown at there. It was raining and foggy at the sky. It really looked like a future city at a science fiction animated film whenever I saw those complicated buildings. They prepared Korean restaurant for us where sreve all kind of beef meat even tongue, large intestines, liver, and stomach. The taste was so good differently in Korea.

Tokyo Tower

We went up the Tokyo tower observation desk with 125m height and drank a cup of coffee looking down all the city below my feet. Rainbow bridge and Odaiba were showing far away. I got shocked from the electirc direction board that shows the phothographies in every hours from dawn to late night as just drag a botton. What a intersesting iadea and advanced technology. I thought it showed that Japan is deserved as a really advanced country. Of cousre we have the ability of that kind functions in electric program filed as well, But we do not think of that kind of service for customers. Also, even though I rode a subway, I can see which train I rode due to electirc direction borad in the subway. That things I think is really needed for us as a Radiological Technologist when we work in hospital for patients.

Meeting and Lecture in Chiyoda Technol Corporation

We had a meeting and lecture for management of X-ray dose and equipment for patients in Chiyoda Technol Corporation. Lecture and discussion took more than two hours and topic was so interesting also we even think about the management of X-ray dose more in detail. President of Chiyoda, Toshikazu Hosoda treated Japanese traditional sushi at the traditional restaurant where has a long fish swiming table. The cusines were so delicious and enough to enjoy that I have never had before in Jpan.

Asakusa Sensoji (浅草寺)

It was twice visiting at Asakusa Sensoji. The first time was in 2005 wiht my wife at 15th ACRT. All street and Buddhist temple reminded me at the time with wife.
